Is China a democratic country or not

 China is also not a democratic country in the true spirit of the world.

1. Election are no doubt held in China after 5 years for electing members to the Parliament but no candidate can stand for election if he has not taken the approval of the Communist Party.
2. There is one party rule in China which is not the indication of of a true democracy multi party system is the true spirit of a democracy which is not there in China so China cannot be said to be a true democracy.
